Cal Crosby, Executive Director

Cal Crosby, Executive Director of Brain Food Books, a 501(c)(3) organization, leads a mission-driven initiative to uplift communities through literature. As a long-time bookseller and an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation, he brings a unique perspective to his work. He is deeply committed to fostering equity in access to books and reading, particularly in areas underserved by libraries, bookstores, or consistent access to literature. This commitment stems from a strong belief in the transformative power of books. Cal recognizes that books can serve as vital tools for education, inspiration, hope, and escape and as instruments for cultivating empathy.

He holds the conviction that every book possesses the potential to unlock opportunities and expand the realm of infinite possibilities for individuals and communities alike.
