We focus on choice and reading for pleasure. We provide a selection of reading levels, formats, genres, fiction and nonfiction that kids can select.
Recreational reading enhances creativity, vocabulary, and comprehension skills, setting a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Additionally, it fosters empathy and imagination by allowing kids to explore different perspectives and worlds. Help us reach our goal! |

You’re Invited to Our First Donor Appreciation Night!
Saturday, September 21, 3:00 - 5:00 at The King's English Bookshop, 1511 South 1500 East Salt Lake City, UT 84105
You'll hear inspiring stories from our team and those who have benefited from our programs. If you're new to our cause, this is a perfect opportunity to learn about how Brain Food Books is making a difference in the lives of children and families in our community -- and how you can help.
Registration is a donation of any dollar amount to Brain Food Books ($5-20 is suggested)
Additionally, 20% of all purchases from The King's English Bookshop during the event will go directly to supporting our mission.
Come for the inspiration, enjoy a nip of cheese, a glass of wine or two, and enjoy bookish camaraderie as we work together to get books into the hands and homes of those without regular access.

$8: Provides one paperback book for a child. $15: Supplies a hardcover book for a young reader. Books for Everyone in the Class!
$240: Ensures every student in a classroom receives their own paperback book. $450: Buys a classroom full of kids a hardcover book of their own. |
Books For a Grade Level or Entire School
$2,000 - $5,000 When you donate towards a classroom set, not only do you provide every student with a book, but because of our partnership with The King’s English Bookshop, you also help bring the story and writing process to life with a special presentation from the book's author. |
